Cairngorm National Park, Scotland - 28 August 2015
I headed up to Aviemore to photograph various wildlife subjects in the purple heather which you usually get toward the end of August.
Unfortunately on this particular year, Scotland had a rather poor summer, which meant that on my arrival there wasn't a vast amount of heather which had turned purple.
The heather in this particular location however had turned nicely, with the purple of the heather being offset nicely against the greens of the fir trees; with the peaks of the Cairngorms finishing off the composition nicely.
