Gannet Holding Pattern

Gannet Holding Pattern

RSPB Bempton, East Yorkshire - 25 March 2015

There are a couple of locations at RSPB Bempton, where the gannets will land on top of the cliffs to collect nesting material (grass).

This photograph shows how frantic it can be where the gannets are coming in to land, which can look like an airport holding pattern; whereby they wait there turn to land.
